more He is now applying that knowledge to the development of systemic and topical treatments to prevent burn injury progression and to promote scarless healing. He has 110 original publications and 78 reviews or book chapters to his credit. Clark is the scientific founder of NeoMatrix Formulations, Inc and FibroMatrix, LLC. These companies are in the development phase of moving novel bioactive peptides discovered in his laboratory and biopolymer composites created in his laboratory to the market place. While at Stony Brook University, he has been the recipient of a 10-year National Institute of Health Merit Award as well as several other NIH RO1 awards. Currently he is the recipient of grant awards funded by the Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine, a NIAMS RC-2 stimulus grant, a State of New York NYSTAR eCAT, and the School of Medicine at Stony Brook University (mentor of a Clinical Research Scholar). He is past President of the Society for Investigative Dermatology, the Long Island Dermatology Society, the New York Dermatology Society and the Dermatology Section of the New York Academy of Medicine. He continues to service on the editorial board of the Journal of Investigative Dermatology as Section Editor for Wound Healing.
