Assistant/Associate Professor of Medicine, Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology: Stony Brook University

The Division of RHEUMATOLOGY, ALLERGY & IMMUNOLOGY is recruiting a full-time Physician Scientist or Ph.D. reporting directly to the Chief of Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology.

PHYSICIAN SCIENTIST:

Required Qualifications: MD, DO, MD/PhD or equivalent. Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board Certified/Eligible in Rheumatology or Allergy&Immunology. Experience in clinical care and clinical, translational or basic research in immunology and inflammatory diseases. Will be responsible for research, patient care and teaching.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated publication and active funding track record in clinical, translational, and/or basic research in immunology and inflammatory diseases. The ideal candidate will have exhibited a strong commitment to advancing scientific knowledge in the field of immunology and inflammatory diseases with a strong commitment to clinical, educational, and academic excellence.

SCIENTIST:

Required Qualifications: PhD, MD, MD/PhD or equivalent. Experience in clinical, translational or basic research in immunology and inflammatory diseases.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated publication and active funding track record in clinical, translational, and/or basic research is preferred in immunology and inflammatory diseases. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong commitment to advancing scientific knowledge in the field of immunology and inflammatory diseases with a strong commitment to academic excellence.

The selected incumbent will be expected to develop an independent research program supported by extramural funding. Tenure eligible position.

Stony Brook University’s Department of Pathology is seeking a Surgical Pathologist to serve in the Anatomic Pathology Division with responsibilities and duties in surgical pathology, autopsy pathology, and medical education. The incumbent will serve as the Director of Surgical Pathology reporting to the Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology.

Academic rank at Stony Brook University Renaissance School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience and academic record.
