Marc Wein is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Member of the Broad Institute. Marc received his B.S. and M.S. from Yale University, M.D. and Ph.D. from Harvard Medical School, and was trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at Massachusetts General Hospital where he currently runs his research laboratory and clinical practice. Dr. Wein's research program focuses on signaling pathways and gene regulatory networks that control bone formation and mineral metabolism. A major goal of his research is to identify new bone anabolic pathways to treat osteoporosis and related skeletal diseases. He has received research funding and awards from the NIH, Department of Defense, American Society of Clinical Investigation, Harrington Discovery Institute, Endocrine Society, Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation, American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, and the Smith Family Foundation.
