Elected 2022

Dr. Lise Nigrovic is a pediatric emergency medicine faculty at Boston Children’s Hospital with a research focus on infectious emergencies. Her significant research contributions include the development and multi-center validation of a clinical prediction model to distinguish between bacterial and viral meningitis, transforming the management of meningitis in children. Her current research is focused on the initial approach to children with Lyme disease. She is the founding chair of the only pediatric Lyme disease clinical research network, Pedi Lyme Net, with eight participating emergency departments and more than 4000 children enrolled to date. The associated pediatric Lyme disease biobank provides a valuable resource to evaluate novel diagnostics.
