Dr. West studies driver genomic events in cancer through the examination of clinical archival samples. That work involves developing and employing in situ based genomic techniques to make observations on human disease. Areas of specific focus of his laboratory include understanding states of neoplasia progression, identifying new drivers in disease subtypes, and developing biomarkers of cancer for clinical use.
