Dr. Duh is Professor of Ophthalmology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  His research focuses on ischemic retinopathies including diabetic retinopathy, which are major causes of blindness worldwide.  Within this field, his research seeks to identify major regulatory molecules and mechanisms that govern reparative angiogenesis, inflammation, and pathologic neovascularization.  In addition to direct regulators of vascular endothelial cells, his research investigates neurovascular interactions and their impact on vascular health in retinal vascular diseases.  His clinical efforts are directed toward patients with retinal conditions including diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.
