Dr. Feinberg is a cardiologist and vascular biologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston. Dr. Feinberg is Director, BWH Program in Cardiovascular RNA Biology Research that investigates non-coding RNAs (microRNAs and lncRNAs) and inflammatory mechanisms leading to the development of a range of macrovascular (e.g. atherosclerosis, coronary and peripheral artery disease) and microvascular disease states (e.g. diabetes). Current efforts in the laboratory focus on the identification and functional impact of evolutionary conserved ncRNAs and their interacting partners / targets using a range of single cell multiomics, mass spec, and innovative RNA pulldown strategies in ischemic cardiovascular disease – from mice to humans. His group has developed novel RNA-based delivery platforms capable of targeting the vasculature to therapeutically impact the development of cardiovascular disease states. Dr. Feinberg has held various leadership roles in cardiovascular research including service on international and national peer review study sections, Editorial Boards, and currently serves as Co-Chair of the BWH Cardiovascular, Diabetes, and Metabolic Disorders Center, and Associate Program Director of our BWH Cardiovascular Fellowship Training Program. Dr. Feinberg received a combined BA/MD from Lehigh University and Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Duke University Medical Center and completed a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.  Dr. Feinberg has mentored dozens of physician-scientists and is passionate for engaging the next generation in discovery research.
