Dr. Robb MacLellan has made seminal contributions to our understanding of the molecular signaling pathways regulating cardiac growth and in regenerative strategies for the injured heart. He has established himself as a leader in this field, using multidisciplinary approaches combining targeted gene discovery with the development of mouse models to test candidate genes’ function. He has effectively combined basic and translational research with his clinical expertise, heart failure, to advance novel treatments such as cell therapy.
