Dr. El-Deiry’s scientific research has been focused on unraveling tumor suppressor p53 and cell death ligand TRAIL-mediated cell death pathways involved in tumor suppression, and cancer therapeutic responses. Dr. El-Deiry conducts translational drug discovery and development research and has taken small molecules from his lab into human clinical trials for patients with cancer.
