I have studied adipose and muscle biology and am engaged in both basic and clinical research related to obesity, adipose biology, metabolic syndrome, lipid metabolism, diabetes and insulin resistance.  Current leadership positions include the directorship of the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS), which houses the CTSA, and Associate Provost for Clinical and Translational Science.
